Joseph and his wife Catherine have lived in Bend for over 35 years. Joe has been serving families and small businesses in Central Oregon as an Investment Advisor Representative for 33 years, the last 30 of those years with LPL Financial.

“In my opinion, I think this industry in some aspects has devolved into a maze of complexities and confusion, partly in order to justify high fees. I am a simple man and I like simple understandable explanations as to how things work and what they cost. Families and small businesses that come to see me are usually looking for that very same thing. Only from there can our clients make truly sound decisions about their future and I believe it requires experience to truly teach and guide individuals through the very important principles of investments and planning.  My assistant, Laura has been with me in Central Oregon for nearly two decades and executes a high level service program to our clients.  

Joe and Cathy are native Oregonians and have made their home in Bend.  Much of the Ferrin ‘s free time is spent rediscovering the beautiful Central Oregon community and landscape with family and friends.

Joseph has obtained the marks of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor or CRPC® which required passing a comprehensive exam and ongoing continuing education. In addition to that he has been a Smart Vestor Pro for Dave Ramsey here in Bend for 14 years.

Laura Ross

Executive Administrative Assistant

Laura Ross is the “Client Services Specialist” as well as an Executive Administrative Assistant, for Joseph Ferrin.  Laura has been working here since 2007.  

She enjoys the interaction with clients and the style in which Joe runs his business as well as the care he gives to each person, client or not.

“Joe is an excellent teacher; he has a great ability to talk with you, not over you. Joe tailors to each person’s individual needs, because no one’s situation or story is the same. I believe that is one of the largest reasons this separates him from most of the advisors in this industry, especially in this current day and time.  I feel Blessed to be a part of his team. I find the financial industry fascinating and I am constantly amazed at the financial opportunities most people are unaware of”.

Laura attended college at the University Of Arkansas where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and business. She has an extensive resume, which includes hotel management.

Laura is a native to Seattle Washington. She and her husband Ian, son Riley have lived in Bend since 2000 and love all of the activities and beauty it holds. Laura’s priorities in life are; Faith, Family, and Friends in that order.

Chance Gragert

Licensed Administrative Assistant

Chance has been with the team since January 2023 and is a fully securities licensed administrative assistant having passed the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 exams. 

Chance is a Central Oregon native, graduating from Sisters High School. He attended Central Oregon Community College studying journalism and has a history in production management at a former local publicly traded company. 

One of the things he enjoys most about working in the industry is the fact that there’s always an opportunity to learn something new in an ever-changing environment. He also considers Dave Ramsey and his process as an important part of financial planning and ultimately implementing strategies that strive for financial peace. Being a native of Central Oregon, Chance enjoys all the benefits and beauty it possesses along with his family and friends.
